HOW TO APPLY EYESHADOW

How to apply eyeshadow is potentially a problematic area for many women as part of their daily makeup routine.
Perhaps the biggest problem is the learning curve involved to understand how to apply eyeshadow to best enhance your eyes and make them a feature of your desired look.

The key is applying your eyeshadow to make your eyes the focal point not the area around them. For a better understanding on what eyeshadow is best to suit the individual needs you should pop down to a makeup counter. Most of these make up counters in department stores offer a free makeup consultation on the products you're a looking for.

It is best to stick to the eyeshadow shades that complimen
t your skin tone and eye shade, and remember the time of day you are shopping for and the venue you will be at will greatly influence your eyeshadow color choice.

Day Time: It is best to target the lighter and neutral shades.

Evening: This is the time suited for experimenting as you can typically get away with stronger shades and bolder colors.

Time spent early on practicing how to apply eyeshadow to create your perfect results for both the day and night looks will make your application quic
ker for your daily routine.

Eyeshadow now comes in many styles and finishes. It is available in creams, powders, liquid and pencils.
It can be frosted; matte, glitter, shimmer and some are specifically designed for drier or older skin. Many manufactures now produce eyeshadow compacts with coordinated shades of eyeshadow, typically including a light, medium and dark shade.

The ever-changing trends and fashion statements have lead us to see a rise in the use of intense eyeshadow colors. Experimenting with these intense colors on your eyes can be fun. You can test eye shadow colors on the back of your hand or y
our inner wrist, but do keep in mind that the way a color looks in the store may not be the way it looks on your eyes or in natural light due to the shop lighting effecting colors.

Eyeshadow application will vary greatly from person to person due to eye shape, skin types and the effect you are after, although there are a few principle points on applying eyeshadow. Light shades will generally open and highlight the eyes, giving the eyes a larger look. Dark shades will add depth and dimension, while making the eyes look smaller

Learning how to apply eyeshadow is going to be down to trial and error to start, while you learn what works and does not.

To start you should grab the following items of make up.

Eyeshadow (light, medium, and dark shades that suit your complexion)
Mirror
Makeup Brushes
EyelinerMascara
Makeup remover

It is best if you start this process as you would with your normal makeup application, by applying your usual foundation and face
 powder

Begin by applying a light color from lash line to brows. Shades of ivory, beige, peach or pink are common, but other light tones can work well. Then apply a medium shade from lash line to crease. Finally, accent the crease of the eyelid with the darkest shade. Blend with a soft brush to avoid removing your eye shadow or smudging. You can apply eyeliner along the lash line and use mascara to accent your eye lashes if you like. Eye makeup remover or a damp cloth can remove smudges. Some people opt to do their eye shadow and other eye makeup before applying foundation and other makeup to allow mistakes to be tidied up more easily.

MAC Suite Array Pearl glide Eye Liners Review

"Mac Suite Array Pearlglide eye liners are a creamy kohl-like eye liner with a sparkly, reflective finish.
Highly pigmented: stands out for its rich, luxurious colours and pearl-metal look.
Provides eye-catching, highly stylized contrast for any look. Smooth. Glides on. Feels comfortable. Long-wearing.
Available in eight trend colours."

These liners glide on with ease and without any dragging across the fragile skin of the eye area. The texture is very similar to the Urban Decay 24/7 liners. One thing you need to be aware of with these liners, once applied they are smudgeproof, water and fade resistant! When the liner sets, (about 30 seconds) it doesn't shrink or feel dry on my lids like some liners do.

These liners can also be used as eye shadows. Just swipe a few lines on the lids and gently smudge with your finger or brush to distribute color evenly. You can also add powder eye shadow on top for a more dramtic smokey eye look.

These Limited Edition liners deliver vibrant color and create a dramatic cute finish in seconds. Get yours today!

Mac Shroom Matte Eyeshadow

Mac Shroom Matte Eyeshadow
Author: MICer

MAC Shroom is a timeless must-have eyeshadow among your cosmetics, it is a highly pigmented powder with a white/ silver matte texture which is very versatile and should be owned by everyone who wants to have the good basics for make up artistry. This mac powder is a perfect base colour and can be easily used as a highbrow highliter to open up the eye area. And also, you can dub a bit between your eyes and onto your cheek for a highlighting effect.

This is one of the newest shades in the MAC range and you may think it is one of the best. This eyeshadow not only serves the purpose of eyeshadow but also as a base. Its silvery effect enables you to use it to brighten the brow line hence creating a stunning look for the night.

This mac eyeshadow is brilliant and vibrant. The first thing I want to talk about MAC eye shadow is the touch. It is super silky. You may think it will not last for a long time. That is a big mistake! Actually, you can apply some on your hand and try to wipe it off with the tissue. Only after two or three really hard rubs that the shadow will lose its luster.

This has to be the best white shade ever invented in the MAC history. It is so wearable and suits every skin colour from fair to dark. Another thing that might attract you is that the shadow is very hard to run out. You may find that you use the eyeshadow for one year and wear it hundreds of times, it still remains a lot!

Shroom eyeshadow should be a part of every girls' makeup kit. It does not crease. This shadow comes in a small package and we do not need to pay a lot for it. The product is one of the best sold in the market because it has no adverse effects on the skin or eyes, people love to use it. As a good way of advertising, many superstars use it while being at an important party. You will get used to the days with MAC eyeshadows on your eyes. It is not only because of its smooth applications, and creamy shades but above all because your eyes are safe.

It looks great at anytime of the day. Overall you will give this product thumbs up if you try it on, and you will get lost without it.

Mac Cosmetics

Author: Eric J Ken

Few would argue that MAC Cosmetics has become the most popular makeup brand in the world today. Since their launch in Canada in 1985, they have grown in leaps and bounds to become the iconic fashion label they are today. This has certainly been helped by the glowing praise they’ve received from a variety of celebrities, including Dita von Teese, Pamela Anderson, Debbie Harry, Alexander McQueen, Fergie, and many others. They made the unusual decision of declaring the famous drag queen, RuPaul, the first ever “Face of MAC” when they had their “Who is the MAC girl?” campaign in 1994.

MAC Cosmetics has a wide range of products. Some of their flagship products include MAC Blush (including their MAC Barbie Blush range), MAC Lipstick, their legendary MAC Brushes, MAC eye liners and eye palettes, and for the hardcore fashionistas and makeup artists, the raw MAC pigments are perennially popular.

The range of MAC can be overwhelming for someone new to the brand, especially via their limited edition collections. They are constantly releasing new products lines and new colours. The downside of this is they are also constantly discontinuing products. Your favourite MAC blush might be here now, but gone tomorrow. Some of their limited edition collections in 2008 include Dazzleglass, Skinsheen, Naughty Nauticals, Studio Moisture, Heatherette, Strobe, Fafi and Slimshine. With each of them potentially having dozens of products, you can imagine the variety in the MAC line!

MAC maintain very strong links with their roots, the professional makeup artist, via the MAC Pro program. Paying members of the MAC Pro program, including models, makeup artists, photographers, and celebrities, receive a number of benefits including significant discounts on MAC products, professional support and discount MAC Cosmetics only available to pro members.
