Love the advice and can't wait to apply it in my routine!

In Your 20s...

Attention, dewy young beauties: This is the most important decade for your skin. The way you care for it now will determine what it will look like for the rest of your life. Because it's probably at its healthiest, with great collagen support, your skin is supple. Whatever sun damage you may have has not yet started to show. Lucky you: Light reflects off the plump surface of your cheeks, giving you a healthy glow.

The number one complaint among women in their 20s is acne, says Ranella Hirsch, MD, president-elect of the American Society of Cosmetic Dermatology & Aesthetic Surgery. (See "I'm Too Old for Acne!") But it's largely avoidable. Most 20-somethings break out because they use dehydrating products that strip their skin of natural oils, says Hirsch. This causes oil glands to overproduce, resulting in pimples.

Your No-Fail Plan

Use gentle products, and focus on damage prevention. "You don't need antiwrinkle creams or microdermabrasion in your 20s," says Ranella Hirsch, MD, president-elect of the American Society of Cosmetic Dermatology & Aesthetic Surgery.

Cleanser: If you have normal skin, you need to wash it only before bed, says Lupo. Use a mild cleanser—either a gel, if your skin is oily, or a milky one, if it's dry.

Moisturizer: Pick a brand, any brand. But be absolutely sure that your moisturizer has SPF 15 or 20, and that it gives you both UVA and UVB protection. Apply it all over your face and on your neck and chest, says Lupo. (This is critical no matter what your age.)

Nighttime treatment: Use a hydrating fluid or an oil-free moisturizer. Many dermatologists recommend starting on the vitamin A-derivative prescription retinoids (like Retin-A, Tazorac, and Avage)—the gold standard for reducing fine lines, stimulating collagen, and treating acne—or products containing the less potent, over-the-counter retinol. Before bed, apply a pea-size amount all over your face and right up under your eyes, says Hirsch; then you don't need an eye cream

I was curious when the Mary-Kate cosmetic seller told me that I needed to start using skin care, including moisturizer. This confused my because for one thing, I thought that having oily skin meant that i didn't need to moisturize, and secondly I was afraid to breakout even more than I had been. I didn't know that there are different moisturizers for different skin types, whether for dry, oily, sensitive, or combination.

"Try these three time-tested, do-it-yourself solutions
and watch your blemishes vanish."

HONEY

The sweetest skin treatment of the bunch, honey has been used
medicinally for thousands of years, dating back to 2500 BC! Noted for
its strong antibacterial and antimicrobial properties, the amber nectar
is great at killing off infectious bacteria in and around zits. Dab a
pea-sized amount of raw, unprocessed, and unheated honey (available at
any health-food store) over your blemish and leave it on for 15 minutes.
Repeat this for a few days.

ASPIRIN

While aspirin is primarily taken internally, it’s also a topical acne powerhouse. Known scientifically as acetylsalicylic acid,
aspirin’s chemical makeup is incredibly similar to the world’s most
popular pimple zapper: Salicylic acid. Topical aspirin works to reduce
the swelling and redness that come with a large pimple or cyst. Mash up
one uncoated aspirin with a couple of drops of water until you form a
thin, viscous paste. Apply the mixture to problem areas for five to 10
minutes, then rinse with lukewarm water.

TEA TREE OIL

Like honey, the oil extracted from tea tree leaves is known for its
incredible antibacterial properties. This powerful concentration helps
diminish inflammation and scarring, and is known for its heavy,
eucalyptus-like aroma. Since the oil is so potent, dilute pure tea tree
oil with Witch Hazel (mix 10% oil with 90% toner). Apply on pimples with
a cotton swab nightly.STEPHANIE NICOLEnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1872154070925929485.post-69841666286983996672012-03-14T18:05:00.000-07:002012-03-14T18:06:04.854-07:002012-03-14T18:06:04.854-07:0025 Makeup Tips to Look Younger

"As we age, our lips thin. Super dark lipstick on skinny lips isn't
attractive. Your best lipstick bet is the shade closest to your natural
lip color or if you like color, rosy reds. Orange lipsticks tend to be
aging, but pinks are not. If your lips have thinned or are super
wrinkly, play up your eyes instead. A bit of lip gloss makes lips appear plumper.

Not sure what color works for you? Hit the department store counter
along with a friend you trust. Try on many colors with the help of a
counter person and you'll figure out quickly what shades flatter your
skin tone.

Try Eye Pencils Instead of Liquid Liners

Eye pencils are softer than liquid liners, which can be harsh on aging
eyes. To soften the line even more, smudge it with your fingers or use
an angled makeup brush dipped in dark shadow as a smudge-y eyeliner. Don't line the inside of the
eye if you have small eyes, it makes the eye appear smaller.

Make Your Eyes the Center of Attention

Enhance your eye color with eyeshadow shades that will make your eyes
pop. For brown or hazel eyes, golds and browns are gorgeous. Blue eyes
look great with blue-gray and lighter browns and dark eyes look
fantastic with dark shades.

7 Tips for Concealing Crow's Feet (aka "Laugh Lines")

People start developing crow's feet around the eyes in their 30s. I
consider my own "laughing lines" and believe they are a sign of a good
life. I hope to develop many more as I grow older.
But not everyone loves crow's feet. You can freeze them with Botox or fill them in with fillers (read more about these in Hollywood Secrets to Looking Younger), but there are few other non-invasive ways to conceal them or diminish the signs of them.

Don't Overdo Your Makeup

Less is more when it comes to makeup as you age. You don't want to pile on the foundation, the eyeliner and the heavy lipstick. Instead, you want to use tinted moisturizers and a lighter touch with the shadow and lipstick. Oh, and you might want to get some bangs.

Adopt a Great Skincare Routine

The key to looking younger than you is to get your skin in tip-top shape.
A good skincare routine
will create the illusion of youthfulness. You shouldn't just cleanse
and moisturize your skin, you should also exfoliate weekly and consider
antioxidants or Vitamin A products. Super hydrating masks can do wonders to mature skin (see my list of the Best Face Masks). And if you really want to get rid of those wrinkles, you might consider lasers, Botox or fillers.

How to Conceal Sagging Skin

As we age, we may begin to notice a big change taking place under the
chin. And I'm not talking about excessive growth of chin hairs. You may
develop a turkey wattle or you might what you consider a double chin.
Either way, you might want to conceal it.
You could see a plastic surgeon and have lipo under your chin or a
facelift, but if you don't want to spend the cash or endure surgery,
there are inexpensive ways to conceal sagging skin and a crepe-y neck.

How to Conceal Droopy Eyelids Without Surgery

Drooping eyelids are another natural part of the aging process but
there's no need to invest in eyelid surgery. You can spend thousands on
an eyelift or you can try these beauty tips that cost nothing. Find out
how in How to Conceal Droopy Eyelids Without Surgery.

Thinning or Bushy Eyebrows

I'm a stickler for good brows and am known for making my friends let me
tweeze theirs. Keeping your brows done nicely is like having a facelift
without surgery, according to author Charla Krupp's brow guy. Here are
some tips for perfect brows:

Get your brows professionally done. Nothing opens eyes up like
curled lashes and neat brows. If you can't afford waxing or threading
every few weeks, use the professional's job as a map for your own
tweezing. Simply pluck the stray hairs that grow in between professional
tweezing or waxing. How to pluck your own brows.

Drawn-in brows are a no-no. You know the pencil-thin line you see
some of your friends or women in your town wear? Well, they only age you
and they're somewhat tacky. Learn how to properly fill in sparse brows.

Avoid tweezing gray brow hairs. Instead, conceal them with a brow powder or pencil.

Thinning Lips

Personally, I love a thin lip. I read somewhere once that it's a sign of
intelligence. As we age, our lips lose some of their fat. Here's how to plump up thin lips.

Picking the right lip color is a must. Makeup artist Bobbi Brown
suggests skipping the bright colors and opt for a color that's just a
shade or 2 darker than your natural lip color. Check out 16 Lipstick Tricks and Tips.

As you age, your natural lip line fades. Create a lip line by
coloring in lips first with a lip liner, then apply gloss or lipstick
over the liner.

Consider getting rid of lipstick and using lip gloss instead. Gloss
creates the illusion of puffed-up lips, especially when applied to the
middle of lips.

Lip plumpers do work, but the effects don't last long (we're talking
under an hour). So skip the plumpers and save your money. Even Vaseline
on lips will make them appear larger."
You run out of mascara as you’re getting
ready for a party, photo shoot or just a girls’ night at home, would you
use your friend’s? Sure why not, it’s harmless… isn’t it?
Absolutely NOT! The truth is, makeup (especially eye makeup like
mascara) can harbor harmful bacteria and cause infection if it is not
properly stored and used, especially if kept passed its expiration date.

When you think about it, the face is one of the most sensitive areas
on your body so it only makes sense that you take extra precautions when
caring for it. Think to yourself, how often do you change or replace
your makeup and applicators? Some of you probably can’t even recall the
last time you bought new makeup. Many women’s line of thinking is “Well I
still have half a bottle of this foundation left, why would I throw it
away?!” or “I’m the only one using this applicator, so what does it make
how many times I use it?!” I’ll tell you why, because practicing
sanitary habits when handling makeup are imperative due to pathogenic
bacteria which are harmful and produce diseases.

The longer you keep the
makeup the more germs and bacteria will contaminate the bottle and the
makeup itself providing more opportunity for you to be infected with
things like Pseudomonas Aeruginosa, a bacteria capable of causing organ
failure, Conjunctivitis (pink eye) and Staphylococcus Aureus which can
cause dermatitis.

How many times have you fallen asleep with a face full of makeup and
think “Oh, I’ll just wash it off in the morning…no harm in that…” WRONG!
All the dirt and germs that you encountered throughout the day festers
on your face while you sleep. If you have foundation or concealer on, it
will clog your pores making it difficult for your skin to breathe which
creates an environment for bacteria to cause infection. So the next
time you come in from a long day at work or ripping the runway, be sure
to wash your face thoroughly to prevent acne causing bacteria and other
infections.

Back to the “double dipping” scenario, the same way you wouldn’t eat
after a double dipper is the same way you should treat your makeup
applicators. How many times have you dipped your mascara wand into the
container, then applied the makeup and repeated that action? More than
likely you’ve done it more than once, right? Well that’s the same as
eating after the double dipper at the party; each time you dip the wand
into the mascara or pat the brush in the powder you are contaminating it
with germs. To prevent this from happening you should use a new
disposable wand for mascara each time you apply it and for other
applicators you should wash and thoroughly sterilize them before usage.
It goes without saying that it is imperative for makeup artist who
deal with several clients at events like fashion shows or for actors on
theatrical and movie sets to take precautions as other people’s health
lie in their hands. It would not be good for business for the beautiful
models and actresses to wake up the next morning with a very unappealing
infection of the eye.

Here are some ways to sanitize and sterilize makeup along with guidelines on how long makeup should be kept and used:

• Keep your brushes and applicators are sanitary. Wash the makeup
residue and oil from brushes regularly by adding a few drops of baby
shampoo to the palm of your hand, wetting the brush and swirling it
around in the soap until no makeup washes out. Foam applicators or
sponges can be dipped into soapy water and squeezed gently until no
makeup emerges. Rinse all of the makeup tools well and allow to air dry.
• Be particularly careful with products that you use on or near your
eyes. Mascara should only be used for two months or replaced even sooner
if its color or smell begins to change. If you’ve had an eye infection
or cold, for example, you should buy new eye makeup immediately,
especially mascara.
• You should replace solid, stick-type makeup at least once a year,
particularly if it’s a stick concealer or foundation product that you’ve
applied on blemishes. Buy new liquid makeup like foundation, every six
months because it’s easier for bacteria to build up in the bottle. It’s
also important to only touch the bottle with a clean makeup brush or
applicator as oppose to using your fingertip to minimize germs.
• Pencil-type makeup (like eyeliners and lip liners) should be changed
every six months. As an extra precaution, you may want to replace your
sharpeners regularly because they are difficult to clean and can also
harbor germs.
• Change powder-type makeup such as mineral makeup, powder or blush
every year to avoid bacteria build up. The exception to this rule is
eyeshadow, which should be replaced sooner since it’s used close to the
sensitive eye area.
If your eye becomes infected by expired or contaminated makeup here are some tips for treatment:
• Since bacterial infections are highly contagious, it is important to seek medical attention early.
• You will be prescribed antibiotics drops and should notice signs of improvement after a couple of days.
• To ease the discomfort of an eye infection, apply a cold or warm
compress for 5-10 minutes onto closed eyes, three to four times a day.
• Always be sure to wash your hands thoroughly and do not share towels and linens in order to prevent infecting others.
• If you wear contacts, remove them until the infection has cleared.
• Wash your hands every time after you touch your eye.

Here are some other precautions to follow to ensure proper sanitary makeup usage:

Would you want this infecting your eye?

• Never apply cosmetics over a cold sore because strains of the
herpes virus can easily be spread from one location to another and
infections of the eye can lead to vision loss.
• Always make sure that products are closed tight and stored out of sunlight, as this can destroy the preservatives.
• If you have an eye infection, do not use any eye products.
• Unless directed by the manufacturer, never add any liquids to the products.
• Dispose of the makeup if you notice any change in color or smell.
• Avoid sampling makeup at department stores when possible. If you do
test, never apply directly from the makeup, you should use a clean,
disposable applicator like a cotton swab or sponge to apply the
cosmetics.
Prior to reading this many of you were probably handling your makeup
and tools improperly, but hopefully after receiving this information
you’ll remember to avoid double dipping and sharing, unless you want to
end up with a puffy pink eye or worse possibly losing eyesight! Treat
your makeup like food or produce, once it passes the expiration date,
toss it out!
Sanitation and sterilization goes a long way with your makeup kits;
it could be the difference between a pretty face and a NASTY
infection…which would you prefer?

Now go paint those beautiful faces, one disposable applicator at a time!

How to Apply Eye Shadow
Applying eye shadow can be a little tricky, but once you know the
basics, you get to play with the colors that you have. A lot of women
try one technique, like it and never vary it.. ever again.

Select a light base shadow. Using a shadow brush, sweep it across your entire lid, from brow to lash line.
Prime the eyelids by dusting them with a small amount of loose powder.
Blend shadow by stroking the lid gently with an eye shadow brush. Don’t use your finger you could wipe off the shadow entirely.
-Use a medium-toned shade to cover your lower lids.
-Use a cosmetic puff and a little pressed powder to tone down heavy
shadow. Shake any excess powder off the puff, then press it gently on
your lid.
-Contour the crease of your eyelid with a dark shade, using a smaller eye shadow brush.
Choose three shades in the same color family – light, medium and a darker shade for contrast.
Apply the lightest shade on the entire lid from brow to lash line.

Eye Shadow Applying Tips

Eye Shadow Applying Tip 1: First decide the color you want to use.
Almond color is considered best for eye but using three to four color
will look good only if they are mixed well.

Eye Shadow Applying Tip 2: To give a smoky look to your eyes, prefer
using dark colors, like blue, grey or black. Brush them at the outer
corners and blend them well. Don’t move further more than quarter inch
away from your eye.

Eye Shadow Applying Tip 3: If you have a thin eye shadow brush you
might want to try darkening the crease area with a little more dark
shadow, just along the crease though……gives a different type of effect.

Eye Shadow Applying Tip 4: Use two shades of the same color for that
exotic look. The inner corner of the eye area is lighter in shade and
the shadow deepens in color towards the outer eye.

Eye Shadow Applying Tip 5: The shadow is applied only on the upper
eyelid, leaving the space beneath the brows. If you wish, you may apply
some shadow on the lower lash line to add color.

Eye Shadow Applying Tip 6: Apply the dark shade to the eye lid area.
It is best to start in the middle of the eye lid and work out towards
the outside, cover the entire lid. Blend the crease area in well. If you
have a thin eye shadow brush you might want to try darkening the crease
area with a little more dark shadow, just along the crease
though……gives a different type of effect.
Here are some of the choices for shading and highlighting that you can try:
Highlight the eyelid, round the shading: Best suited for hooded eyes and older deep set eyes.
Highlight the eyelid, wing the shading: Best suited for younger deep set eyes.
Shade the eyelid and round the shading: Best suited for prominent lids and younger deep set eyes.
Shade the eyelid and wing the shading: Best suited for younger deep set eyes.
Eye shadows come in in several textures, powders (compacts), pencils, and creams:
Powder can be used either dry or wet and it’s really easy to control. Make sure you look for a powder that feels moist.
Pencils are fairly easy to use, but you need to remember to smear the line as you go or you’ll have lines all over your face.
Creams tend to be hard to control. They can look beautiful and stay
that way if you use a good quality eye foundation (eye primer),
otherwise they can slip and slide into the creases on your eyes and
eyelids.

This article and tutorial is from makeupblog.janeiredale

Smoky eyes are everywhere for fall, and the look has never been
fresher because they are being done in every shade from classic charcoal
to soft browns, and even vibrant shades like plum or teal. Smoky eyes
is not a color, it is a technique; or rather many techniques.

Here is
one of my favorites from makeup artist Christian McNally. It looks
fierce and only takes about five minutes. Have faith. it may look like a
hot mess when you are halfway through, but it comes together magically
in the end. Blending is the key!

Start by smoothing a tiny bit of Lemon Lid Primer over the whole lid, lash line to brow. Blend well with your finger tips or the Camouflage Brush.

Next, apply coordinating eye Pencil: For example, Black/Brown works well with brown or plum smoky eyes; Black or Black/Grey
works with charcoal or teal. Draw a thick line across the upper lash
line, going about half way up the lid towards the crease. Draw another
line under the lower lashes, from inner to outer corner. Connect the two
lines at the outer corner, and don't worry about being neat.

Blend the Pencil well with the Small Fluff Brush to
a soft, edgeless finish. One thing I have learned is to blend with a
very light touch. It may take longer, but otherwise I end up blending
off the makeup I just applied!

Take your desired shade of PurePressed Eyeshadow Triple. Apply the medium shade to the outer two-thirds of the upper lid with the Crease Brush. The crease can stay clean for this look; concentrate the color on the lid and lash line.

Apply the lightest shade on the inner third on the upper lid with the same brush and blend the two together with your clean Crease Brush (simply wipe it off on a tissue).

With the Mini Dome Brush, use the darkest shade in the trio to intensify everywhere you placed the eye Pencil. Blend well.

Again with the Crease Brush, highlight with a little bit of Oyster (shimmery) or Bone (matte) PurePressed Eye Shadow in the inner corner of the eye at the sides of the nose, and on the brow bone. Blend well.

Line the inner rim (waterline) of the upper and lower lash line with Liner. Use the same liner or try Black for fierce drama, or Midnight Blue to really whiten the whites of your eyes.

Apply PureLash Extender & Conditioner to upper and lower lashes to condition lashes and add volume and length. While it is still damp, follow with several coats of Longest Lash Mascara in Black Ice.

Now with eyes this intense, please keep the cheeks and lips soft and neutral. The one exception for this fall might be a subtle pop of hot pink. Use a light hand and try Clarity In Touch Cream Blush on the cheeks and Sugar Plum PureGloss on the lipsSTEPHANIE NICOLEnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1872154070925929485.post-25920145172492999432011-09-06T22:41:00.000-07:002011-09-06T22:41:12.051-07:002011-09-06T22:41:12.051-07:00Makeup Mascara for Autumn

Makeup Mascara for Autumn

Today's makeup learning session is from beauty-tips.net

Changing your makeup style with the seasons is just as natural
as changing your wardrobe, and mascara is no exception. As cooler
weather approaches and you exchange your light summer wardrobe for fall
colors and fabrics, your makeup choices should also reflect the change
in seasons. Because mascara should be replaced every three months or so,
changing your mascara with the seasons seems like a natural choice.
Here are a few tips for choosing the right mascara for the autumn
season.

Autumn is when we start to transition from the light, rosy natural
makeup shades of summer to cooler shades. Many of us are still glowing
from a summer of fun in the sun, and makeup colors should reflect that,
with mascara complimenting not only the eyes but the shades as well. The
emphasis on eyelashes changes at this time from light to long and
thick.

When you’re shopping for new mascara for fall, remember that it’s not
necessarily the mascara that will give you the look that you want, but
the type of wand you use. If you’re aim is to make your eyelashes
fuller, opt for a wand with a fuller brush, while a small brush will
help you reach the corners of your eyes, and an eyelash comb will help
separate the lashes and prevent clumping.

Because the eye colors typically change from light to darker colors,
mascara colors should compliment the shade of eye shadow. Recently,
autumn makeup trends have pointed towards a smoky grey look for eyes, so
black mascara should be used in this case. Smoky eyes are always a
great dramatic feature for evening, but you may wish to keep a warmer
look for daytime, especially if you’re fair of skin and hair. Brown
mascara makes a perfect compliment for brown based eye shadows and will
help complete your fall look.

Today's article is by: Beauty-Tips.Net

Foundation is an essential part of your makeup routine. It should be like your second skin, only better!

A good foundation for your face will include a moisturizer, concealer, if you need it, and the actual foundation. Just as we change our wardrobe with the seasons, our makeup needs will change as well. Creating a natural look is important and choosing the right tools for your skin is the best way to put your best face forward. In this article, we’ll take a look at some helpful tips for foundation in autumn.

Liquid makeup foundation
In the autumn, our skin tone starts the transition from the summer tan to the paler tones of winter, and it’s important to use a foundation that accurately matches your skin tone. When choosing a foundation for autumn, always try to test the foundation before you buy it, and whenever possible, test it in good lighting. Natural light is best, when it is available. Test the foundation on your skin and let it set for a couple of minutes. Often, the color of foundation will change when it comes in contact with the natural acids in our skin, so the color in the bottle may not be exactly the same for everyone. Also be sure that the color will blend well into your neckline.

In recent years, trends in foundation have been towards natural looking, luminous skin, even in autumn and winter, and how you apply it can make the difference between looking caked on and creating a natural look. Start your routine with a moisturizer, which will help the foundation go on smoothly. Apply concealer as you need it; under the eyes to hide dark circles or to cover up blemishes, for example. Apply the foundation with your finger tips in small amounts to help create the natural look. Remember, you can always add more foundation if you need it.

There is really no point in spending time to apply makeup if it will just ruin your pretty face.

One makeup that a lot of women don't know how to handle is the eyeliner. Just look around you and you will see that many women look fiercer, out of style, or simply untidy whenever they use eyeliner. Do not commit the same mistakes that these women are guilty of; read on and learn how to use this makeup accessory more effectively.

Types of Eyeliner

Pencil-

The most popular type of eyeliner is the pencil. You probably have seen and used this one. The pencil eyeliner is very easy to use and quite versatile. You can use this practically for any occasion. Just be sure to choose a soft eye pencil, especially if you are just starting to learn how to apply a liner, because you don't want to hurt your eyes with hard-tipped pencil eyeliner.

Liquid-

Of all the eyeliner types, the liquid eyeliner is the most difficult to control because of its fluid consistency. You need to have a steady hand in order to achieve a flawless finish when using the liquid type because it can smudge easily. Once you have mastered its use, however, the lines created by liquid eyeliners are brighter, more pronounced and a whole lot clearer.

Felt-tip-

This is another type that is easy to use. A felt-tip liner is sort of a fusion between a liquid and pencil eyeliner. It's got the ease of application of a pencil liner and the consistency of the liquid type.

Cake-

Before, only master artists know about cake eyeliners. Fortunately for women of today, the popularity of cake eyeliners has increased so there are many manufacturers who make them now. This is the best type to use if you want to have smoky eyes. If you don't want to invest in an expensive cake eyeliner, you can always use your eyeshadow to do the trick. Just make sure that you use a small brush to make things easier for you when applying lines on your eyelids.

Eyeliner Application Tips

Dozens of women apply eyeliner by pulling the outer area of their eyes. This is one mistake that you have to avoid. Not only will this practice contribute to eye wrinkles, you will also end up with jagged lines on your eyes when your skin goes back to the right position. The best way to put eyeliner is by gently pulling up the center part of your eyelid. This will give you a good view of the area and will also help in drawing a straighter line.

If you are just starting to experiment with using eyeliner, it would be best to choose a shade that is on the light side like brown for a more natural look. Leave the darker shades and kohl to makeup professionals.

Remember not to use liquid eyeliner for lining your lower eyelids. If you have to line your lower lids, it would be better to use a cake or pencil liner. If you don't want to look like you've stepped out of a 60's magazine, do not create thick lines. Not only will these make your eyes look fierce, but they will also highlight your flaws and make you look tired.

Lastly, you should remember to take care of the skin around your eyes. No amount of eyeliner or makeup tricks can conceal dark circles, fine lines and puffy eyes. To protect the health of your eye area, always remember to remove eye makeup before going to sleep. Lastly, use eye cream regularly. This will help protect this sensitive area and correct eye problems, such as eye bags, fine lines and skin discoloration. One eye cream that you can try is Eyevive. It is a step that completes the makeup preparation, for often a little foundation and eye makeup is all you would need to pull of a glamorous and exciting look. It is the eye makeup routine of the entire makeup application process that really brings out the beauty of the makeup, also could make the difference between a natural look, an exotic look, or a demure but sexy look. Eye makeup comprises of all the makeup and makeup accessories that you would use to decorate or highlight your eyes.

Eye Makeup Tips

Before you learn how to apply makeup, you need to know what kind of makeup you're applying. There's makeup for the face, eyes, eyebrows and lips. You certainly don't have to use makeup on all of your facial features, but you can. If you decide to use facial makeup, or concealer, make sure to get a concealer shade that matches your face. If you're concealer is too dark or too pale, it will stand out. If you have nice skin, you can bypass concealer or, you can apply it to areas that contain blemishes.

Formal eye makeup tips will allow you to look glamorous. You need to know just how to apply makeup correctly, to achieve the desired, finished look. Learning how to put on eye makeup does not have to be a difficult process either. Here are several key steps to make your wedding or prom pictures truly amazing.

Use your fingers for working the foundation on one area of your face. It is better if you are moving your fingers in circular motion, and after you have finished this finger-walk, you can use sponge for the final working of the foundation.

Techniques of Eye Makeup

It doesn't matter the size or shape your eyes, with the proper makeup techniques you can change the shape of your eyes. You can make your eyes appear bigger, wider and even more dramatic with these simple easy tips. Do you have small eyes? Use pale color up to the crease, contour crease with a dark, smoky color, smudging often.

Apply your foundation first over your entire face before you start on your eye makeup. You need a good canvas to work with.

Choose an eyelid sparkler in soft, metallic cream and dab a smidgen of it on your lids. Then sweep a pressed powder eye shadow in metallic copper also on your lids to add a dark, sexy glaze. Use a clear mascara to lengthen your lashes. You want to keep the attention to your eyes, so a touch of champagne gold lipstick will be enough to complete the look.

Apply an eye shadow primer from lash to brow to make your eye makeup last. You can skip this step if you prefer. Using a makeup brush or eye shadow sponge, apply the medium shade from lashes to the crease of your eyelid.STEPHANIE NICOLEnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1872154070925929485.post-64398975924387798152008-12-11T19:03:00.000-08:002008-12-11T22:23:25.992-08:002008-12-11T22:23:25.992-08:00Powder Foundation Cakey?

Is your Foundation Coverage Cakey?
